Zalify Downpay is a Shopify app that helps merchants offer deposit-based purchase options, collect remaining balances, and track related order activity. This policy explains what data we process and how we use it.

Information we collect

When a merchant installs or uses Zalify Downpay, we may process:

• Store information, such as the myshopify.com domain and app installation status.
• Product and variant information needed to create and display purchase options.
• Order information related to deposit purchases, including order IDs, order names, deposit amounts, remaining balances, fulfillment status, and balance payment status.
• Customer information associated with deposit orders, such as customer ID and email address, only when needed for balance tracking or payment update notifications.
• Billing information returned by Shopify Billing, such as plan status, subscription IDs, test billing status, and usage line item IDs.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Create and manage Shopify selling plans for deposit purchase options.
• Show eligible purchase options on storefront product pages.
• Track deposit orders and remaining balances inside the merchant admin.
• Help merchants identify remaining balances they need to collect in Shopify Admin.
• Calculate app billing usage and support merchant account operations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share or process data only as needed to operate the app, including with Shopify APIs and service providers that help deliver app functionality, such as email delivery and hosting providers.

Data retention and deletion

We retain app data only for as long as needed to provide the service, support merchant operations, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When a merchant uninstalls the app, we mark the store as uninstalled and remove app sessions. We also support Shopify mandatory compliance webhooks for customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction.

Security

We use Shopify authentication, verified webhooks, HTTPS, and database access controls to protect app data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information processed by the app.

Merchant and customer rights

Merchants and customers may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where required by applicable law. Shopify customer data requests and redaction requests are handled through Shopify compliance webhooks.
